Only 300 DeSoto Adventurers were built for the 1957 model year. Equipped with 345-horsepower Hemi V8s, they were the top-of-the-line performance flagships for the now long-dead Chrysler division.
These cars have become collector favorites, said Craig Jackson. And they are difficult and expensive to restore.
A similar car sold for about $340,000 last year, Jackson said.
