2010 profit: $8.8 billion
Judging by its bottom line, HP hardly skipped a beat after Mark Hurd's abrupt exit as CEO last summer. Profits advanced 14% as corporate customers, who account for three-quarters of HP's sales, spent more on its enterprise storage and server services. Businesses also bought more of its PCs, making up for a drop in PC sales to consumers, who were likely attracted to Apple's iPad and Android tablet devices.
