About 10 years ago, Ahmed moved to New York from Bangladesh, and got his first U.S. job at McDonald's.
He knew very little English at the time, but was able to pick some up on the job. He later moved on to better paying positions at other restaurants and retailers.
Now he wants to help his 62-year-old uncle get a fresh start in America.
Rahman also struggles with English, but wants to support himself after moving to New York a year ago.
He worked as a bank manager overseeing a staff of more than 50 back in Bangladesh. Now he's looking for a job cleaning bathrooms at McDonald's as a way to earn income and improve his English.
