"I'm willing to do anything just to have a little money in my pocket," said Hill, 23, who applied for a job at a Rockefeller Center McDonald's on Tuesday.
Hill currently lives in a lesbian, gay, bisexual and trangender (LGBT) homeless shelter in Manhattan called Sylvia's Place, after he was kicked out of his home earlier this year.
He hopes the job will be enough to get him back on his feet and out of the shelter system.
"I just need a stable job," he said.
