Registered nurse
The aging of the U.S. population has made health care one of the biggest job-creating industries over the last few years.

Bayada Nurses, a company that employs 14,000 people in 20 states and specializes in offering at-home nurses, therapists and social workers, is hoping to ramp up its staff quickly.

But even amid high unemployment, it can still take Bayada months to fill positions.

The company needs both field nurses and clinical nursing managers. Applicants need to be licensed as a registered nurse in their state, able to work independently and abide by strict standards.

But the problem is that the industry already has a shortage of nurses, plus new graduates have little preparation for working in a home setting, as opposed to a hospital.
