Why it's admired:
In 2013 global management consulting firm the Hay Group (who are Fortune's partners in the World's Most Admired survey) rated Procter and Gamble the number one company in the world for leadership. It was the first time since 2005 P&G topped the list, and it happened the same year the company brought back A.G. Lafley as CEO, who had led from 2000-2009. The move was made to reach their goal of shaving $10 billion off their books by 2016. LinkedIn ranked Procter and Gamble the fourth most in-demand employer of 2013, and the company generated $84 billion in revenue that same fiscal year. --B.S.
