Got a New Car? You Sure?

(MONEY Magazine) – Dealers are discounting the last of their 2005 models, a rite of fall. But that "new" 2005 car is already a year old in the used market. And car makers will soon be forced to cut prices even on improved '06 models to maintain market share. GM, in fact, has already slapped an employee discount on some. So unless you plan on driving your car into the ground--or just want a really low monthly payment--go for the newer models, many of which are already at dealerships. --LAWRENCE ULRICH
