After first seeing the redesigned 2005 Mustang. Fabrizio Giugiaro told J Mays, Ford's vice-president for design, that he wanted his company, Italdesign - Giugiaro, to design an Italian interpretation.
Fabrizio worked with his father, Giorgetto Giugiaro, to design this concept vehicle. This is Giorgetto's second Mustang concept. 50 years ago, he designed the 1965 Bertone Mustang.
The Giugiaro Mustang is wider than the original and its hood is even longer and its trunk shorter. The windshield and rear window are joined in a single arching glass piece. The car is powered by a supercharged 500-horsepower engine.
