After seven years of designing children's shoes for major retailers, Doreen Hing, 40, discovered yoga as a way to quiet her mind and get fit. Uninspired by the drab colors of typical yoga gear, Hing decided to market her own line, setting up shop in Boston with business partner Jennifer McKinley, 41. Plank's mats, sold at Fred Segal and various Four Seasons Hotels, feature digitally imposed tongue-in-cheek images, including a half-eaten muffin atop a wooden plank - plank being one of yoga's key positions.
