Making the Flex a little more like a home on wheels, Ford offers an optional refrigerator that can replace the center seat in the second row. With some cars, the bragging is all about zero-to-60 times. With the Flex, Ford brags that the in-car fridge can cool up to seven 12-ounce soda cans from room temperature to 41 degrees 40% faster than a standard home refrigerator.

The Flex also offers Ford's Sync system which makes it easy to play music off a hand-held player, a small thumb drive or even directly from your cell phone using a Bluetooth connection. In this case, Sync also includes an on-board hard drive for storing music and photos.

The Flex's Sirius satellite radio service includes various data streams that can be integrated with navigation functions. For instance, an information screen can tell you where nearby gas stations are and the price per gallon.
