"I've done absolutely nothing [since the financial crisis hit]. But several years ago, given my age, I decided to move most of what I need for retirement into fixed income. I cannot really say that there was any foresight, and stocks actually went up after I did it. But I knew then, as I know now, that I cannot beat the market."
