The Farm at Cape Kidnappers, New Zealand
If you like a lot of wine along with your sun, head to Hawke's Bay in New Zealand, one of the country's top wine making regions. The Farm is the sister property to Kauri Cliffs and Golf Course, a member of Relais and Chateaux, and is set on a 6,000-acre sheep and cattle farm with sea views.

The resort's 24 rooms are rustic chic, with high-vaulted ceilings, sheepskin chairs and Frette bathrobes. For more space, guests can rent the four-bedroom Owner's Cottage, which features multiple fireplaces, an open-plan kitchen and dining area, plus an outdoor Jacuzzi.

Chef Dale Gartland has trained with Thomas Keller at Per Se, and his menu focuses on fresh, seasonal cuisine. In addition to wine tasting, guests can spend their days playing golf, hiking or indulging in spa treatments. Need more to do? There's also fly-fishing, horseback riding and river kayaking in the area.

Rates: Starting at $528 per person in high season
Owner's Cottage is $7,556 per night in the high season.
