Jenny Chang: I'm buying my mom a new bedroom set from Ikea. I usually spend on things that are excessive or luxuries, like expensive handbags or spa packages. This year it's something she needs, but it's still the most I've ever spent on a gift. My mom has had the same bed since I was a baby, and now I have graduated and have a full-time job.
