Description: South Padre Island is well known for its lively spring break, but it's also home to numerous "Winter Texans" -- the flocks of Canadians and Yankees who come south to escape the cold. The narrow barrier beach is just 20 miles from Mexico, and the weather is temperate year round.
The house is semi-detached, with hurricane shutters, corner quoins and a Spanish tile roof. Inside are custom cabinets, big walk-in closets and nicely tiled baths. There are lanais on two floors.
The fenced-in pool is on the back patio, where folks can lounge and watch the waves tumble across the broad sandy beach.
