Siblings Mike and Scott Ciprari's passion for percussion blossomed when they began customizing old drum kits "to make them look cool," says Mike, 23. Soon Scott, 25, started building drum sets from scratch to improve the sound quality. In 2000 they launched SJC Drums.
Today, customers can dream up their own sets using the Virtual Kit Designer on the company's Web site. "What I love most about my job," Mike says, "is seeing a drum set come to life and finally end up onstage."
