When it was announced that Hewlett-Packard CEO Mark Hurd had stepped down, it came as no surprise that the lawyer representing Jodie Fisher, the HP contractor making the harassment complaint, was none other than Gloria Allred.
Allred, 69, is the camera-ready celebrity hound who seemingly calls for a press conference at the mere mention of the word "scandal." Though the Los Angeles-based lawyer has made a career of advocating for family and women's rights, and fighting workplace discrimination and wrongful termination, she has earned her fame by representing a melée of Hollywood and tabloid stars.
