We're in the process of trying to retrieve nearly six months worth of work because, we decided to let one of our culinary workers go.
Shortly after we told her over the phone that she was being fired, she dropped by one of our kitchen locations, took a box of soap, and poured it all over her computer. We've got it all captured on security camera. She also brought a video camera of her own to tape footage of the kitchen, so that she could later post clips on YouTube falsely accusing our company of leaving food out on the counter all day long.
She's since removed the YouTube clips but we now have to pay an IT company $2,600 to try to retrieve the data on her computer with no guarantees that we'll get anything back. She maliciously set out to destroy her work for the company -- nutritional data on hundreds of thousands of menus that she was working on.
