Segway Slump
By Nina Sovich

(FORTUNE Small Business) – Since FSB wrote about the Segway two years ago, sales of the ballyhooed upright motorized scooter have sputtered. Fewer than 10,000 have sold so far, a far cry from the 40,000 annual goal. One hangup: few places to test-ride the $4,000 Segway, sold mostly online.
