The most fuel-efficient cars and trucks to hit the road this fall.

(FORTUNE Small Business) -- If you're a business owner being pounded by high gasoline prices - is there any other kind of business owner these days? - help is on the way.

This fall an unprecedented number of updated designs and new models are coming onto the market, many designed with superior fuel efficiency in mind. (By one estimate, about one-third of all the automobiles sold in the U.S. in the 2007 model year will be all new or significantly redesigned.)

Choosing a model primarily to save on gasoline costs is a sound strategy, provided you don't have to make sacrifices on performance or comfort. With all these newly available cars to chose from, how can you decide?
