(MONEY Magazine) – -- A picture caption in ''It Was Faxination, I Know . . . '' (July) gave the wrong model number for the Brother fax machine. The correct number: FAX-100. -- One Woman's Finances in August incorrectly listed $237.69 as the annual health insurance premium for members of the National Organization for Women. That figure is the quarterly premium; the annual amount is $950.76 and the insurance is not available in the states of New York and Maine. -- The August cover story on taxes erred in saying that New York State imposes a tax surcharge on capital gains. The surcharge applies only to interest or dividend income for people who have adjusted gross incomes that exceed $100,000 a year; the surcharge will be phased out next year. -- September's ''Choosing Tactics in the War Against Risk'' erroneously listed the average five-year total return (to July 1) of equity mutual funds and of fixed-income funds. The correct figures are 61.3% (for equity funds) and 68.3% (for fixed-income funds).
