Wal-Mart's 'dumb' year
The world's largest retailer took a beating in 2006 over efforts to clean up its image. From hiring civil rights activist Andrew Young to orchestrating what seemed like a folksy, independent blog called 'Wal-Marting Across America,' the company stumbled badly. Bosses behaving badly
Business 2.0's 101 Dumbest Moments is chock full of instances where employers, like Northwest Airlines and National Semiconductor, treated laid-off workers badly.
