Green cars from the Frankfurt Motor Show

At the European auto show, car makers are showing off plans for fuel-sipping cars of the future as well as a few for today.

Toyota iQ
Toyota is billing the iQ as the world's smallest four-seat car. AT 117 inches, it's more than a foot-and-a-half shorter than the Toyota Yaris. One of the four passengers does have to be a child, however, Toyota says.

A panoramic sunroof helps keep the interior from feeling cramped. A strong safety cell around the occupant compartments helps ensure the greatest possible impact protection, Toyota says.
