If American Idol is television's Goliath, then its David is David Della Terza, the 24-yearold behind a Web site called votefortheworst.com. Launched in 2004, the site is the enabler of a national spasm of sarcasm. It gets people to vote for a contestant based not on singing ability but on sheer ironic entertainment value - i.e., how much it messes with the heads of Idol's producers. This season Howard Stern joined the cause, and, lo, Sanjaya Malakar made it to the top seven. Della Terza's fave as of presstime: Phil Stacey. --C.H.
