Have a hankering for cult cabs? Screaming Eagle, Harlan, and Bryant may get a lot of press these days, but consider looking for some of the original cult wines, like Dominus, Camus SS, Dalla Valle, and Opus One. And consider less appreciated vintages too. Zenko says that among the truly great producers, it is hard to find a bad wine, so you may have good luck with Bordeaux from 1994, '97, and '98.
