Why they rock: They're a classic long-tail story, selling out Madison Square Garden in 1982, 1987, and 1989, even though they never broke Top 40 radio. Despite their low profile, Dire Straits, U2, Simple Minds, the Jam, and Bon Jovi have all opened for the band.
