Why we chose it: Northwestern's Kellogg School of Management encourages students from family businesses to join support groups to discuss intergenerational dynamics. The curriculum is rich in family-enterprise case studies backed by academic research. Professors and students join together in the center's Family Enterprise Club to solve problems, resolve issues of succession and compensation, deal with sibling rivalry, and determine winning business strategies. Within the club, there is a student-run consulting group called the Kellogg Family Business Organization, which offers peer advice at monthly meetings.
