The Saturn Aura is based on the same basic engineering as the popular Chevrolet Malibu. The Aura is just slightly smaller and has more responsive steering and suspension for a sportier feel.
The Aura hasn't quite taken off like the Malibu, though. It could be the Aura's less conservative appearance, it could be a lack of marketing or maybe it's just that Saturn dealers are a little harder to find then Chevy dealers.
At any rate, while you won't find big rebates and incentives on the 2009 Malibu, you can get up to $1,500 toward the purchase of an Aura. Plus, you get a car that's a little more distinctive looking.
