While the big, sedate DTS isn't nearly as enjoyable to drive as Cadillac's smaller sedans, Consumer reports says it is reliable. With a fairly decent performance in the magazine's testing, that was enough to earn it a top spot among American cars in this class.
This is a tough category to compete in because it includes Consumer Reports' "Best Car Overall," the Lexus LS, which is even more reliable and earned a near-perfect rating in the magazine's testing.
