Even something as fundamental as water can use a Fahrenheit makeover. New Zealand-based Fonterra Dairy, the world's largest dairy exporting company, engaged Fahrenheit to help expand its business as dairy demand declined.
After surveying Fonterra's existing assets, Fahrenheit's team found something intriguing -- a clear, tasteless isolated whey protein. Without any commercial application, Fonterra hadn't deployed it, so it took Fahrenheit to realize that the protein could slingshot Fonterra into a major growth category -- water.
Take the protein, add some soluble fiber, and WH2OLE -- "the water that quenches your hunger" -- was born.
Fonterra made the newly branded ClearProtein available as an ingredient to the U.S. food manufacturing industry in April, and demand has been so strong that it may outstrip the ability to supply.
