Direct Relief International volunteers deliver emergency medical supplies, including BD products, to Haiti.

This maker of catheters, needles and syringes took a preemptive approach to earthquake relief. As a regular part of its philanthropic efforts, Becton, Dickinson and Co. pre-positions medical donations with humanitarian groups in case of emergency.
So when it came to Haiti, critical medical supplies were packaged and ready-to-go.
In addition to about $5 million in product donations, BD also donated $550,000 to nine NGOs and matched employee donations up to $150,000.
