The potato chip maker doesn't pursue product placement deals in TV or movies, so it was completely surprised when SATC 2 filmmakers came to them specifically requesting a Pringles can, a company spokeswoman said.

For a scene with the girls traveling to Abu Dhabi, the studio wanted an American snack that came with an Arabic logo. Pringles, which sells its chips in the Middle East, was more than happy to send over a selection of different flavors with Arabic packaging, at no cost to the studio.
