Let's say you're looking at a three year old Camry with 40,000 miles.

Bumper-to-bumper warranty: Toyota offers a one year, 12,000 mile warranty on its CPO cars. That gets added to whatever's left of your original bumper-to-bumper coverage. That's good, because the car's original bumper-to-bumper warranty's all gone.

Powertrain warranty: As a CPO, the Camry gets 7-years or 100,000 miles. But since you're looking at a three-year-old car and the CPO warranty is figured from when the car was first sold new, you'll drive away with four years, or 60,000 miles on the engine and transmission.

Other benefits: If your car has to go into the shop, Toyota will pay up to $35 a day for a rental car for five days.
