The eyepiece displays a computer screen that can be controlled through voice commands.

No police officer would ever wear this thing on his head. But, with improvements in the technology, a wearable computer screen like this one could be shrunk to fit unobtrusively inside a pair of sunglasses.

With those shades on, an officer could be talking to a subject at a traffic stop while simultaneously -- and secretly -- receiving information about outstanding tickets and warrants.

The screen, visible, in this device, through a tiny eyepiece, can be controlled either through simple voice commands or by a small tablet computer about the size of the ticket books officers ordinarily carry.
