A nice example of the original Nissan Z-car will turn heads on the street today. Back when they were first introduced, the Z was seen as a cheap attempt by the Japanese to imitate "real" sports cars which, of course, came only from Europe. These cars were hardly rare, either, which is probably why few owners bothered trying to preserve them. That's added to the value of surviving examples in good shape.
