Quebec offers honeymooners a taste of Paris without the beaucoup bucks. Lovers can stroll down quiet streets, sip champagne and even dine on fabulous French fare without the fabulous French prices.
Additionally, the recent strength of the Canadian dollar has forced many airlines, hotels and other tourist spots to cut prices in order to lure travelers, noted Travel-Ticker's Kim.
One chilly choice: A room at the unique Hôtel de Glace is now just $199 per person, including a welcome cocktail and breakfast. That's a bargain compared to the normal rate of $399 per person, although that price includes a four-course dinner.
Flights to Quebec also cost about half as much as a trip to Paris at about $550 per person and hotels are 30% cheaper, on average, according to data compiled by Travelocity.
