The Ford F-series pickup is the best-selling vehicle, car or truck, in America. Besides its utility, the F-series is helped by the broad spectrum of trucks included under the name. It includes the family-friendly F150 as well as the "Super Duty" F250 and F350 trucks.

General Motors' pick-up would be the top selling vehicle in America except that it's sold under two different brands. Combined, the Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra outsell the F-series, according to Edmunds.com. Through November 2006, Ford has sold 680,000 F-series trucks. GM has sold more than 770,000 Silverados and Sierras combined, the auto research firm said.
