Toyota's truck could make a big mark

Full-sized Tundra is having some early success in the market, but domestic contenders won't be easy to push aside.

The Toyota Tundra CrewMax has more back seat legroom than either the Ford or GM crew-cab trucks. In fact, it has more rear legroom than a Mercedes-Benz S-class sedan, that company's biggest car.

The seats also slide forward to allow some storage space behind them and they recline. (Unlike the S-class seats, however, these will not give you a massage.)

As in the competitors' luxury-level offerings, the CrewMax Limited offers an optional rear-seat entertainment system. Basically, the CrewMax is an SUV with a somewhat shortened truck bed. It's geared more for carrying people than sheets of plywood.
