Utility workers in particular need their laptops to be water-resistant; after all, much of their work is done in howling storms. But even salespeople benefit from being able to work on top of the car's hood in a drizzle. Fully rugged Toughbooks are tested for 12 hours in a chamber that sprays water from several angles; the semi-rugged Toughbook 74 survives a simple 4-ounce spill.
