John Harvey Kellogg (1852-1943)
Kellogg co-invented corn flakes with his brother, Will Keith Kellogg. After a bitter split in 1906 (John didn't want to add sugar to the product), they never spoke again. Will went on to found Kellogg's while John turned his attention to the Battle Creek Sanitarium. Among his practices - administering yogurt enemas; and discouraging female masturbation by the use of carbolic acid.
