Freestyle Audio's Sport MP3 Player, $100 After accidentally dropping his 20-gigabyte iPod into an ice-filled cooler, Lance Fried, 36, created an MP3 player that works in water as deep as ten feet. Water-sports athletes and pro baseball players such as the Yankees' Johnny Damon own the sweat-resistant device, which holds 320 songs. The San Diego company sells its player online at Target.com and at independent sporting goods stores.
