Career Description

Provides nursing triage services and health advice for patients and managed care members over the phone. Evaluates, assesses, and documents the patients' questions or concerns. May give physician referrals as needed. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. Works under general supervision; typically reports to a supervisor and/or manager. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required.

Education/Experience

Requires an associate's degree and is certified as a registered nurse with at least 2 years of clinical experience.
