"I am a part time RN with 3 small children and I just started couponing this year. With the economic downturn and our third child, my monthly grocery bill had grown to over $700 a month (family of five with one dog). I'm in charge of the finances and I had trimmed our monthly expenditures as much as possible but the grocery bill was out of control. After doing some research online I came across CouponMom.com and now try to use the strategies of combining sales with coupons to save money."

Her strategy: "I get my Sunday paper and my grandmother saves coupons for me so I can double them. I have also started a price book that allows me to keep track of prices on frequently purchased items. I was surprised to find that buying the biggest size is not always the most cost effective, especially when buying diapers or laundry detergent."
