Wide-open doors
Wide-open doors

So-called "suicide doors" -- GM prefers to call them "French-style" -- are a common feature on concept cars but rarely make it into production models.

In this case, the arrangement makes sense since, without a roof, the car has no need of the center pillar. Rear-hinged back doors have been used on a few classic convertibles like the Lincoln Continental of the early 1960s.
