Dell.com Senior VP Ronald Rose
Title: Senior VP, Dell.com
CEO: Michael S. Dell
Pay difference: $6.5 million
Michael Dell isn't the $1-a-year type: Dell's CEO takes home the company's highest base salary ($950,000 a year) and picked up a $2.6 million cash bonus in 2010. But because he doesn't collect stock grants or options, most of Dell's top executives land bigger pay packages than the company's founder.
Newcomer Ronald Rose, who joined Dell in March 2010, picked up a basket of financial goodies on his way in. On top of a $2.25 million signing bonus, Rose received a grant of Dell stock valued at $7 million, which will fully vest if he remains with the company for three years.
