There are fewer things simpler than a DVD camcorder: Record onto disk, put disk in DVD player, enjoy. That extra convenience used to cost plenty, but prices have been dropping faster than "Studio 60's" ratings. Panasonic's model has a list price of $900, but at Best Buy and some other retailers, you're likely to find it for around $650.
