Lotus Exige 265E This supercharged sports car runs on E85 ethanol, a fuel blend that's 15 percent gasoline and 85 percent ethanol, an alcohol made from plant products. The 265E produces up to 264 horsepower, 46 more than the standard Exige. Lotus needed to make only minor changes to the Exige to allow it to burn ethanol. As part of the makeover, fuel injectors were enlarged to allow more fuel into the engine. (Ethanol packs slightly less power than gasoline.) Source: The Robb Report
