But will curious moviegoers be drawn to Anderson's latest film since it stars Owen Wilson, who has been in the news lately following a suicide attempt?
The movie stars Wilson, Jason Schwartzman, who starred in Anderson's 1998 movie "Rushmore," and Adrien Brody as estranged brothers taking a train trek across India following their father's death. Doesn't sound all that uplifting.
And Box Office Mojo's Gray said he's not sure that the film will attract more than Anderson's most ardent fans, even though Wilson's troubles may mean more publicity for the film. In fact, Wilson's woes could be a turn-off.
"Owen Wilson probably raises awareness for 'The Darjeeling Limited.' The question is though if it is the right kind of awareness." Gray said.
