Trini Gonzales, the listing agent for the house featured here, is very optimistic about McAllen prices. "It's been good," he says, "and we have a lot of momentum."
There are factors that keep price increases within reason, however. Land is very inexpensive and developers keep building new homes, adding constantly to inventory. And, although the economy is booming, many of the jobs are low-paying; restricting how much workers can afford.
