This special edition takes its name from a Japanese word meaning "evolution," or "transformation."Available only in a "Black Cherry" paint color with a beige interior, the Shinka edition RX-8 also had performance upgrades including a special suspension package and an available 238-horsepower engine according to Mazda.
At about $32,000, it cost buyers about $6,000 more than a standard RX-8, but it didn't hold its value as well, according to Kelley Blue Book.
