Fortune 500 rank: 327

Kodak is synonymous with film, and these days that's about the biggest burden there could be. Kodak's revenues show just how fast things can change: its $7 billion in sales last year was only half its 2005 total.
As digital photography upended Kodak's business model, the company has transitioned into printers and digital cameras. But those businesses face established players like Hewlett-Packard and Canon. Moreover, the commoditized products can't come close to reaching the same sales Kodak's film enjoyed during its heyday.
Kodak may never disappear but it's unlikely to ever be the same.
